Frequently Asked Questions

We need time to clean and prepare the loft for guests so we ask you to arrive at 3 pm on the first night and check-out by 10 am when leaving. If you wish to arrive later or check-out later then let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

We live next door so we will be around to hand you the keys and show you how everything works. If we can't be there when you arrive we have a key-safe and will send you the code so you can get in.

The Loft has a fully functioning kitchen with electric hob, oven, dishwasher and small fridge with an ice compartment. The oven doubles a a microwave. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, Duallit toaster and kettle as well as everything you would need to cook with. All of the facilities are listed here.

Yes the Loft has fibre optic wifi from BT which is very fast. The code can be found on the notice board.

Yes it does as well as digital terrestrial TV channels. The TV is on a wall stand which can be pivoted so you can also watch it in bed!

The Red Bull, Newhnam is a 5 minute walk from the Loft and serves fantastic pizza and other home cooked pub food. Take a look here: https://www.redbullnewnham.co.uk/. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by bike.

We provide FREE parking on site with CCTV coverage. Parking alone is worth £20 a day in Cambridge!

You could but local cost from a bike shop is around £10 per day. We have two bikes available at just £5 per bike per day. This helps us cover the cost of maintenance and repairs. Cambridge is very flat so it's easy to cycle everywhere. If you don't fancy cycling then there are Voi electric scooters to get around on with a pick-up & drop-off point just 200 metres from the Loft. If you haven't used Voi scooters before then you will need to download their APP and log a photo of your driving licence the first time you ride. 

Yes we supply towels and all bed linen. We also supply toilet paper, hand soap and washing up liquid.
